About Us
"It is in giving that we receive."
Ava Melissa Foundation is a non-profit organization that is focused on providing aid and opportunities for the underprivileged African woman and child through educational, medical, financial support and sponsored training programs. When we started the foundation in 2017, it was a small initiative dedicated to offering emergency assistance to families and individuals who had been gravely affected by the Cameroon Anglophone Crisis which started in October 2016. From helping one individual to assisting a displaced family that lost their home to military raids, our founders realized the necessity to do more for the internally displaced and underprivileged families in both rural and suburban communities. We dedicated more time and resources to the cause and in no time, there were other people volunteering and donating to support the initiative.
Our Commitment
Our commitment relates to the primary objectives of our organization;
-
To provide sustenance and shelter to vulnerable persons which include orphans, widows, the needy and internally displaced persons from the regions affected by the ongoing Cameroon Anglophone crisis.
-
To bring out the talents of underprivileged children and make them useful to their communities by offering them self-reliant activities and sponsored training programs.
-
To promote skill acquisition and its enhancement through support programs.
-
To give educational grants and scholarships to underprivileged children in rural and suburban communities.
-
To bring sustainable development to communities in need.
-
To work with other associations and organizations who are also committed to bringing change in our communities.

Our organization seeks to provide a better life for the vulnerable population in our communities by offering them the opportunities that they have been deprived of by their status and low income levels. Therefore, we will continuously be at the forefront of change and sustainable development through our projects and works done in partnership with other organizations.
